A little about Me
Hi there! My name is Jordan and I’m the owner of The Find Boutique. I’ve been in retail/fashion/styling since 1999. My favorite part is helping you find pieces you love and feel confident in, while stepping a little bit out of your comfort zone to do so ;)
Live Day
I had been getting ready for this day for six weeks. I hesitantly set the official launch date for Monday April 8th, announcing the launch day on my socials two days before to hold myself accountable. I planned to do a Live video on Instagram to talk about why I started The Find and to show some product. Nothing crazy, but it’s been a while since I’ve done a live video, and by myself. No one to talk to, no one to play off your jokes, or step in when you mess up. I practiced a few times recording myself, playing it back to listen for mistakes, watch for annoying ticks I might be doing, or change the camera view. In the end, the thinking about it, is always worse than the actual doing.
Announcing Launch Day
I started growing my audience for The Find’s account through my personal account. Announcing I would be starting something new and fun and they wouldn’t want to miss it. Once I put it out into the universe, aka social media, that I would be starting my own boutique, there was no turning back.

Live Area Set Up
That morning I made sure my live area was set up, I walked through my outfits I wanted to talk about, and the background info I wanted to share about myself. I reviewed my practice videos from the night before, psyched myself up, and before I knew it, it was time. I was so nervous, would anyone show up?! Ahhhhhhh! Yes! People did! YOU showed up! The orders started coming in and I could not believe the amount of support from some of my favorite people. I only wish I saved my first live video! Rookie mistake lol.
Behind the scenes! I didn't eve have a ring light yet so I used a ladder and a clip to hold my phone. lol All in the middle of a basement remodel.
Packing Orders
Next up was packing orders. I printed the pack slips and started working. I recruited my husband to help and although he wasn’t loving it, he did happily help :) I found out later he wrote a couple funny notes on a few of the orders for my friends and family. ha

In Conclusion
After a day of shipping and delivering orders, I reflected on the last few days and felt an overwhelming feeling of accomplishment and joy that made all of the lonely days (IYKYK) before worth it. My friends and family supported me and my new journey and it was just absolutely amazing! THANK YOU to everyone that showed up on my first day and continue to support me today! You are the true MVP’s :)
Thanks for reading!
